The Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) was founded in 1987 and is an active member of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), DigitalEurope (European Information Technology Federation), and the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB).

The aim of the Association is to play a decisive role in the balanced development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Cypriot economy, acting as a vehicle for change in the development of the information society.

The Association is the representative body of ICT companies on the island and currently counts over 80 member companies covering all sectors of ICT.

VISION AND MISSION

The mission of CITEA is to encourage, promote, and actively enhance the relationships among Cypriot ICT companies, with the aim of better and more effective promotion of ICT in Cyprus, targeting the following:

  • To become the pivotal point of support and assistance for any entrepreneurship-related matters of broader interest and value.
  • To facilitate, coordinate, and improve the penetration of ICT into the local market in a balanced and effective manner.
  • To promote ways and means to adopt ICT solutions and ensure appropriate procurement processes, practices, and standards within the government machinery of Cyprus.
  • To establish and maintain regular communication between the members of CITEA and the wider business community in Cyprus.
  • To promote Cyprus as an international ICT hub, providing high-level ICT solutions and services to serve the local society, as well as exporting technological expertise and acting as a regional ICT center.
  • To promote best practices in ICT in the Cyprus market, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of Cyprus in a globalized economy.
  • To represent Cypriot ICT enterprises in international arenas and bodies related to ICT abroad, creating a portfolio of value-added services for its members and future players from the international community.
  • To act on issues of general interest (such as the lack of specialized human resources).

Δημητρης Νησιωτης

Demetris Nissiotis is a seasoned ICT professional and executive, with over 25 years of experience in diverse roles across the industry. He has acquired valuable insights of the trends and advancements in the international ICT arena and has a deep understanding of the unique ICT environment in Cyprus, including the initiatives, developments, limitations and challenges that local organizations and technology enterprises encounter.

Throughout his career, Demetris has been actively involved in numerous large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation projects for prominent organizations both in Cyprus and abroad. With a proven track record of success in the public and private sectors, Demetris and his team have consistently delivered effective and efficient digital solutions, enabling clients to achieve their business objectives.

Demetris earned his BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus and has been a key member of NetU Consultants Ltd since 1997, where he currently serves as CEO. He is the President of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB).

Ο Γιώργος Μαλέκκος είναι o CEO & Software Innovation Architect της εταιρείας Powersoft, μέλος του Ευρωπαϊκού Γραφείου Κύπρου και lecturer and train the trainer for Computerized Accounting στα μεγαλύτερα Πανεπιστήμια της χώρας μας. Για σειρά ετών διετέλεσε αντιπρόεδρος, γραμματέας(σήμερα) και μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου του Συνδέσμου Εταιρειών Πληροφορικής Citea και είναι ενεργό μέλος του ευρωπαϊκού οργανισμού Cloud Standards Customer Council για τη δημιουργία των ευρωπαϊκών standards στο cloud computing, όπως επίσης και ενεργό μέλος του Digital Advisory Council στην Ευρώπη . Εξειδικεύεται σε ευρωπαϊκά προγράμματα που αφορούν στο χώρο του innovation in IT και είναι ο εισηγητής του ευρωπαϊκού έργου e-powercard, το οποίο περιλαμβάνεται στα success stories της Ευρώπης. Η εταιρεία του για πάνω από 30 χρόνια εξειδικεύετε με λογισμικά που αφορούν τον επιχειρηματικό χώρο και είναι βραβευμένη μεταξύ άλλων και με το Βραβείο Καινοτομίας στον τομέα των επιχειρήσεων από την ΟΕΒ. Είναι ενεργό μέλος των κριτών στο EYA (European Youth award) και στο WSA (world summit awards - οργανισμός ψηφιακής καινοτομίας από 180 διαφορετικές χώρες).

Ο Andy Panayiotou είναι ο Sales & Business Development Manager της Hellenic Technical Enterprises, θυγατρικής του Ομίλου της Ελληνικής Μεταλλευτικής Εταιρίας, που δραστηριοποιείται σε πολλαπλούς τομείς της οικονομίας του τόπου. H Hellenic Technical Enterprises είναι ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους παρόχους ολοκληρωμένων λύσεως πληροφορικής στην Κύπρο, με μεγάλα και σημαντικά έργα. Ο Andy έχει πάνω από 20 χρόνια εμπειρία στον σχεδιασμό, υλοποίηση, και διαχείριση έργων και διαχείριση ανάπτυξης λογισμικού, τόσο στο δημόσιο, όσο και στον ιδιωτικό τομέα.

Είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου MBA, καθώς και μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου Masters in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources. Έχει επίσης, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science από το University at Albany, State University of New York, με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Fulbright, και είναι απόφοιτος της Αγγλικής Σχολής. Ο Ανδρέας Κασιουρής έχει φοιτήσει Φυσική και Πληροφορική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Paris 7 & 8 αντίστοιχα, και εργάζεται στην ATL Loizou Group, ιδιωτική εταιρεία προϊόντων και υπηρεσιών πληροφορικής στην Κύπρο, από το 1986.

Μέλος του Διοικητικού συμβουλίου του Παγκύπριου Συνδέσμου Εταιρειών Πληροφορικής CITEA κάτω από την αιγίδα της Ομοσπονδίας Εργοδοτών & Βιομηχάνων (ΟΕΒ), και μέλος του Διοικητικού συμβουλίου της ΟΕΒ.

Διετέλεσε επίσης μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Digital Europe στις Βρυξέλλες.

Συμμετοχή και συνεργασία με την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή για την υλοποίηση της εκστρατείας e-Skills for Jobs στην Κύπρο από το 2010, που στοχεύει να ευαισθητοποιήσει τους πολίτες σχετικά με την ανάγκη να βελτιώσουν τις ψηφιακές δεξιότητές τους.

Πρόεδρος του Κύπρο-Γαλλικού Επιχειρηματικού Συνδέσμου κάτω από την αιγίδα του Κυπριακού Εμπορικού και Βιομηχανικού Επιμελητηρίου.

Έχει επίσης διατελέσει Πρόεδρος για μια πολύχρονη θητεία του θερινού Γάλλο – Κυπριακού σχολείου “ L’été européen ” στην Λευκωσία.

Είναι Αντιπρόεδρος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Ιδρύματος Διαχείρισης Ευρωπαϊκών Προγραμμάτων (ΙΔΕΠ) την περίοδο 2019 – 2023.

Ο Στέλιος είναι o Γενικός Διευθυντής της A.T TECHDATA LTD, παρόχου Ολοκληρωμένων Λύσεων Πληροφορικής στον ιδιωτικό και δημόσιο τομέα. Διαθέτει πάνω από 30 χρόνια εμπειρίας στον τομέα της Πληροφορικής σε διάφορους κλάδους που αφορούν τον ψηφιακό μετασχηματισμό τόσο στον δημόσιο όσο και στον ιδιωτικό τομέα. Έχει εργαστεί στις εταιρείες IMC σαν Διευθυντής Παραρτήματος Λευκωσίας, στην HSDATA LTD σαν Διευθυντής Τμήματος Υποστήριξης Πελατών και σαν Διευθυντής Πωλήσεων και στην ASBIS σαν Διευθυντής εταιρικών Λύσεων. Είναι κάτοχος BEng Πολιτικού Μηχανικού από το Πανεπιστήμιο Salford UK και Διπλώματος Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων από το Πανεπιστήμιο Stirling στη Σκωτία. Είναι επίσης απόφοιτος του Ανώτατου Τεχνολογικού Ιδρύματος (Α.Τ.Ι.) και του Γυμνασίου Κύκκου Λευκωσίας. Ο Στέλιος είναι κάτοχος πολλαπλών πιστοποιήσεων πληροφορικής σε διάφορους κλάδους. Ο Στέλιος είναι Μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Κυπριακού Συνδέσμου Επιχειρήσεων Πληροφορικής (CITEA) από τον Δεκέμβριο του 2021 και είναι επίσης μέλος του Επιστημονικού Τεχνικού Επιμελητηρίου Κύπρου (ΕΤΕΚ).

Αποφοίτησε από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Λονδίνου στην Πληροφορική (Computer Science) όπου και διακρίθηκε με first class honors. Κατέχει μεταπτυχιακά M.Sc. και Ph.D. στην Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη (Artificial Intelligence) με τιμητική διάκριση από το Imperial College London. Έχει εργαστεί σε επιστημονική έρευνα στον τομέα της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης (ΑΙ) στο Imperial College και στη συνέχεια στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, με δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή συνέδρια και περιοδικά.

Η Αντωνία είναι η γενική διευθύντρια της IBM στην Κύπρο από το 2021. Έχει εργαστεί στο τμήμα των συμβουλευτικών υπηρεσιών της ΙΒΜ Ελλάδος και μετέπειτα της ΙΒΜ Κύπρου για πάνω από 20 χρόνια, όπου και ηγήθηκε του τμήματος για 5 χρόνια. Έχει εκτεταμένη γνώση και εμπειρία σε θέματα στρατηγικής ψηφιοποίησης και μετασχηματισμού οργανισμών, αυτοματοποίησης και ανάλυσης δεδομένων. Διακρίνεται για την πολύχρονη εμπειρία της στον τομέα της Ηλεκτρονικής Υγείας και στον Τραπεζικό τομέα.

Είναι μέλος των διοικητικών συμβουλίων του Παγκύπριου Συνδέσμου Πληροφορικής (CITEA), του Αμερικανικού Εμπορικού Επιμελητηρίου (AmCham), της Ομοσπονδία Εργοδοτών & Βιομηχάνων (OEB) και του KEBE, αντιπροσωπεύοντας την ΙΒΜ.

Antonis is a highly experienced Managing Director and Country Leader, currently heading Oracle Cyprus & Malta. With over 35 years of experience in the ICT industry, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the computing needs of public, private, and financial institutions. 

Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in Digital Transformation projects across various sectors, including Utilities, Telcos, Banking, Government, and Health. He participated in the provision, analysis, design, and implementation of complex integrated solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud, Data Management, Analytics, ERP, CX, etc. to drive digital innovation and business outcomes. He has held various leadership positions in local IT companies, such as PwC-Cycom, Demstar Information Group, and Logicom Group, where he contributed to sales, marketing, business development, and general management. 

He is an active member of various Cyprus national professional associations as well as several social and charitable organizations 

Since joining Oracle in 2005, he has been responsible for driving business growth and success in the region. As a member of the Oracle CEE management team, he has been instrumental in developing strategic solutions that drive business outcomes through Digital Transformation. 

Antonis holds a BSc in Economics and Business Administration and an MSc in Marketing and Information Systems Management.

Η κ. Ζησιάδου είναι Νομικός (ΒΑ) και κάτοχος MA και MSc σε Διεθνείς Σχέσεις και Στρατηγικές Σπουδές, Ευρωπαϊκές Σπουδές καθώς και Ψηφιακού Μάρκετινγκ. Η κ. Ζησιάδου διαθέτει πολυετή πείρα στο μάρκετινγκ, την επικοινωνία και τις δημόσιες σχέσεις μέσω των θέσεων των οποίων εργάστηκε.

George Malekkos

George Malekkos is a dedicated Software Innovation Architect who focuses on accelerating the successful adoption of cloud technology. Since 1993, he has served as the CEO and founder of Powersoft Cyprus. George is an active Cloud Standards Customer Council (CSCC) member and a workgroup leader for the whitepaper titled "Practical Guide to Cloud Service Level Agreement." Additionally, he has a significant history with the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA), where he served as Vice-President for several years. He continues to contribute to CITEA as a board member.

George shares his expertise as a guest lecturer and trains professors at all major universities and colleges in Cyprus, specialising in Computerized Accounting. He has gained valuable experience through his involvement in numerous European projects conducted under Eureka, Eurostars, FP7, and Cornet. He has been the project leader and founder of the highly successful European program Eureka EUNEA/1204/11, specifically the e-Powercard project. His contributions have made it one of the success stories of the Eureka initiative. Moreover, George remains an active member of Digital Europe and has served as one of the 30 members of their Digital Advisory Council.

In addition to his professional roles, George is deeply committed to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. He mentors and judges in various startup

competitions in Cyprus and abroad. Some notable competitions include Digital Champion Cyprus, Hackathon, Microsoft Imagine Cup, EYA - European Youth Award, and Watify. Most recently, he was appointed Cyprus' national expert for the World Summit Awards (WSA). The WSA is dedicated to promoting digital innovation and brings ICT professionals together from 182 different countries.

Andy is the Sales and Business Development Manager of Hellenic Technical Enterprises, a Systems Integrator, and a subsidiary of the Hellenic Mining Company (EME) with interests in multiple market segments. Hellenic Technical Enterprises delivers solutions in partnership with major international vendors, coupled with local talent and innovation. He has over 20 years experience leading transformation in both the public and private sectors.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration degree, a Masters in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University at Albany, State University of New York, on a scholarship from the Fulbright foundation. He is also a graduate of The English School, Nicosia. Andy holds multiple IT certifications, and is a certified Project Manager (PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI PMP), a Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master, a Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master, Disciplined Agile Coach, and a Disciplined Agile Value Stream Consultant.

Andy is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Organization (CITEA) since December 2021.

Andreas Kashiouris studied Physics and Computer Science at the University of Paris 7 & 8 respectively. He has been working at ATL Loizou Group, a private company specializing in information technology products and solutions, in Cyprus since 1986.

He is a Member of the Board of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) under the auspices of the Employers & Industrialists Federation of which he is also a member of the Board. He has also served as a Board Member for Digital Europe in Brussels.

He has participated and cooperated with Digital Europe and the European Commission for running the e-Skills campaign in Cyprus since 2010.

Communication and awareness raising campaign that will take place also 2015 and 2016. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the need for citizens to improve their command of information and communication technology (ICT) skills for work. The campaign is a response to the growing demand for ICT-skilled professionals which is currently not met, despite high levels of unemployment in Europe.

President of the Cyprus – France Business Association under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He has also served as President for several years of the Cyprus-French Summer School, “L’été européen” in Nicosia.

Vice-President of the Board of Erasmus+ as the representative of the Employers organizations: Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) and Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).

Stelios is the General Manager of A.T TECHDATA LTD, a provider of Information Technology Solutions in the private and public sector. He has over 30 years’ experience in the ICT sector in various areas leading digital transformation in both the public and private sectors.

He holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from Salford University UK and a Diploma in Business Administration from Stirling University in Scotland. He is also a graduate of Higher Technical Institute (HTI) and the Kykkos Gymnasium Nicosia. Stelios holds multiple IT certifications in various desciplines. He is specializing in Geographic Information Systems and Smart City Technologies. He worked at IMC as Nicosia Branch Manager, at HSDATA LTD as Customer Support Department Manager and Sales Manager and at ASBIS as Corporate Solutions Manager before joining A.T Techdata Ltd.

Stelios is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Organization (CITEA) since December 2021 and he is a Member of ETEK too.

Graduated from the University of London in Computer Science B.Sc. with first class honors. Holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence with merit from Imperial College London. She has worked on AI scientific research at Imperial College and at the University of Cyprus, with publications and presentations in international conferences and journals.

Antonia is the general manager of IBM in Cyprus since 2021. She worked at the Business Consulting unit of IBM Greece and then Cyprus for over 20 years and has led the unit in Cyprus for 5 years. She has extensive knowledge and experience around Digital Transformation Strategies, Business Automation, System Integration and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence. She poses many years of experience in the Healthcare and the Banking sectors.

She is a Board Member of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA), American Chamber (AmCham), Cyprus Chamber of Industry & Commerce (OEB) and KEBE, representing IBM.

In April 2023, CITEA appointed Ms. Matina Zisiadou as the Director of the Association.

Ms. Zisiadou holds a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and has an MA and MSc in International Relations and Strategic Studies, European Studies, and Digital Marketing. She has extensive experience in marketing, communication, and public relations through the positions she has worked in.
